You mention Reflection - I haven't used that. I tend to use freeware/shareware alternatives such as Xming or Cygwin/X

I'd be looking for command xdpyinfo to help get display info in the Xserver side (the HPUX is Xclient). And if xdpyinfo aint there, I'd be reading the manual to find out what the equivalent is.
