This has been a great book for me : http://www.amazon.com/Unix-Shell-Programming-Stephen-Kochan/dp/0672324903
But really you should look into installing OEM12c and getting away from the custom scripting as much as you can. My $.02.
Thanks,

Subject: Semi-OT: Shell Scripting for dummies
Hi all,
It looks like it is pretty close to official that we are going to start migrating from Windows to Linux. One of my day-to-day tasks has always been scripting - windows batch scripting. I'll never claim to be the Picasso of batch scripting (ha), but I could usually accomplish what I needed to do. Now on top of all the other changes that this migration will entail, I'll need to start thinking about porting my scripts over... Any recommendations for some intro to shell scripting materials?
