Ray,

I installed OEM12c back in May using the standard install docs from Oracle. Not very hard. However, bear in mind that you are suddenly a Oracle Weblogic admin as well. On top of that there's the multitude of bugs you have to deal with (not related to the installation itself).

If you plan to use OEM for monitoring your enterprise there's a lot of changes from how OEM worked in 10g if you have any experience with that. If you don't then it's an even steeper learning curve.

If you plan to use it for any kind of larger size enterprise and want it to be somewhat selfmaintaining/healing then I find it to be a process that is not for the faint of heart but obviously it can be done. That's not any different than 10g.

Good luck.

Finn

Subject: getting started with OEM 12c?

Congrats to Oracle on the 12c install proc. The last time I looked at an oem install it was a nightmare on elm street.

Is there a good document that explains the care and feeding of 12c for the beginner?

How to uninstall cleanly, so I can change things around?

TIA
