You can specify the objects kept in the flash cache. However they are not part of IORM.

You are right on Storage Indexes. They are maintained at cell level and they are not persistent across restarts. They are just memory structures (bitmaps) kept in the cell servers. It keeps the low -high values of the columns on that region and helps to reduce the IO when those segments are scanned. The design is such that, it might give occasional false positive, but never a false negative.
