Hello Friends ,

One of our client has recently opened a quote for managing / hosing their IT infrastructure. Now , some of the biggies came in to tue picture like IBM , TCS etc and there comes ' Oracle Cloud'. I heard they have also come up with a quote ( or may be they will). I am just thinking how other ' infrastructure as a service ' (Data centre services ) providers can compete with Oracle cloud services. The reason I think so are

1. The servers are theirs
2.Database and App server are theirs
3. Now about management and administration , they have the best admins with them. Systems , weblogic, database all in form of My Oracle Support.
4. What can be the license cost as they are defining what license cost is ?
5. Maintaining SLA? They have the best people with them.

Now, who can compete ? What will be the life of other providers ? May be other companies ? DBAs ?

I am just thinking every company would think of (at least) oracle cloud as their ultimate cost reduction method !

Software cost as well as labour cost !

Any thoughts on this ?

Regards,
Sreejith
