* Oracle DBA Needed in Upstate New York-- Great Company!

Location: Ithaca, New York (relocation assistance is provided)

Salary: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00..maybe up to 90K

General Comments:
This company in Ithaca, NY is looking for an Oracle DBA to join their team. In this position you will be responsible for the management and support of all our application databases and environments.
This is a full-time, salaried position with good benefits, and a fantastic work environment.
Relocation is offered for this position; they will consider sign-on bonuses and also take into
consideration the cost of relocation dependent on the candidates and their situations.
They will also consider candidates with transferrable H1B visas.

Responsibilities include:
-Management and support of all application databases and environments
-Responding to and resolving database access and performance issues
-Installing and configuring database systems
-Performance tuning at the database level
-Evaluating the current backup and recovery solutions and making
recommendations for improving it
-Monitoring database system details within the database, including
stored procedures
  and execution time
-Perform tasks on weekends and off business hours to cover support
and upgrade system requirements.

Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science of a related field is required
-Strong experience working with Oracle Databases
-Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting skills
-The ability to demonstrate flexibility and work as a team player
-Excellent problem solving skills
-Experience with SQL Server and MySQL is a significant plus
