AWR just takes snapshots of V$ views and the various reports display differences on these snapshots over time, so the first step would be to understand what the various V$ views are showing you.

After you've familiarized yourself with V$ views and still need more help, I suggest moving on to various presentations and books by Mike Ault.

Do someone has good links or books to follow for understanding more details for AWR reports. I know there are several areas in the report and dependencies and appreciate if any good book or link that can be used to start and go in details
