I was looking at Oracle doc 169706.1 for swap space on AIX, and I saw this note for 11.2.0.2:
Between 1GB and 2GB then 1.5 times RAM
Between 2GB and 16 GB then match RAM
More than 16 GB then 16GB RAM

In prior versions, it says
If RAM = 1024MB to 2048Mb
then 1.5 times RAM
elseif RAM > 2048MB and < 8192MB
then match RAM
else RAM > 8192MB
then .75 times RAM
Since 10.2 I have generally recommended that swap space equal RAM on Unix based OS versions. (twice RAM on SUN-SPARC with ism). What are other peoples experience/recommendations?
