Hi Freek,

I admit was using the srvctl from the Grid Home, which I thought was how you do it in the case of 11.1 (frankly I cannot recall right now why I was assuming this, just seeing that being done by others I guess...) So now from your reply, I start to think I got something very wrong here, kind of embarrassing :-;

Still, my first question would apply, in the case of the listener - which IS running from the Grid Home - ... so given that I specify the port in the srvctl add command, shouldn't Grid Infrastructure notice the listener is already active on that port (it notices something's running for sure, because without -f I couldn't even add the listener...) and set its state and target to online?

Many thanks,
Sigrid
