I have used a AIX based 9.2.0.6 client to access an 11.2 on Windows and I use a 11g client on Windows 2008 R2 to support access from SQL Server to Oracle 9.2.0.8 so it should work so long as you do not try to access 11g specific features.

I think as long as your are 9.2.0.4 or higher you are OK.

Not there, but on MOS, it's article 207303.1. You need to get more specific on the version numbers if you want to look at compatibility.

If I were you, I wouldn't trust 9iR1 or 9iR2 to talk to 11gR1 or 11gR2, but that's just me...
