We have just Had An Audit. They have accepted that two uses of two managment packs in 2009 were only evaluation.
ISTR that Madeline Therault's excellent DBA 101 course/ presentation
advocates installing everything in case you need it. I've always done this
with Linux too
but apparently its really a NONO as far as Oracle are concerned. I never
noticed anyone from Oracle pointing out this as an error.
I think Oracle need to improve their licencing by using some sort of
software lock. Inertia Selling to the Consumer in the UK is illegal
Not sure what the Law is for SMEs.
