Hi William,
The books by David Knoxx are awesome.. the "Effective Oracle Database 10g Security by Design" will give you foundation on Oracle security.. I like the part where he applied the proxy authentication, connection pools, enterprise users, secure application roles together in a j2ee application scenario.. then the rest of the chapters talk about Auditing and FGAC and encryption..
And the new book (Applied Oracle Security) is the continuation and tackles more on the database options around security (DBV, AV, IDM, TDE, etc.) and how you apply them together in an enterprise scenario... there's a section that tackles how to secure APEX and BI environments..
