I'm sorry too that it had to go this way.

In fact, it was Dan's post here that just threw me over the fence to note the thing in the blog. I have a lot of respect for some of the "old timers" here and when I realized his reply had been "cropped" out, that was the last straw.

I find "clueless' and other derogatory and disparaging remarks - including the "dba1.0" thing - highly unprofessional and undignified from a company I once respected.

But respect is a two way street. Don't show it? Don't expect it back. High time some folks at Oracle realized that.

Still: that's behind, let's move forward. Let's concentrate on taking the best advantage of MOS and OCM, if the case may be that both become usable. I don't hold high hopes, but have to anyway.

Otherwise there is only SQL Server and db2 and neither of those are in the least bit attractive. Believe me: I deal with both every day...
