Sanjay,

This configuration is not possible. The logical standby must reside on the same os as the primary database. You can however setup Oracle Streams to replicate tables/schemas from the AIX db to the linux db, but this is not the same as a logical standby.

Subject: Hetergenous Dataguard

Hi

Is it correct to say that I can have Datagaurd where Primary is AIX and Dataguard (Logical) is Linux. Is this Correct to say that Physical Standby is not possible but Logical Standby is possible. Any caveat.

TIA
Sanjay
