Indeed it did, but we also have "select *", if we can do this, why not allow the ability to exclude a few columns?

I am not advocating the use of the statement for a well written prod query in an app. I'm just saying that the ability to exclude a few columns would be nice.
For our needs, it stands, I've managed to get things changed to reduce us from 500 columns to 80, that's still bad, but I'll take it.
