Sorry, this is totally from memory ( don't have my notes to hand ) , but we had something similar. Sounds crazy, but it was to do with using SYSDATE with DBMS_SCHEDULER and BST. The jobs were created in BST using a daft combination of start_date and SYSDATE. When we headed back into GMT at the end of British Summer time, the jobs started running one hour out. After some playing about we stopped using sysdate and used the correct TIMESTAMP data type when setting up jobs.

As an OT we had a weird one the other day on our Solaris 10 boxes. When we hit BST a couple of weeks back, all the jobs between 1am and 2am, failed to run. We couldn't work it out until we realised that cron has no concept of daylight savings. The O/S simply flipped the clock from 1 to 2 and cron obviously skipped all the jobs between 1 and 2. Had us scratching our heads for an hour or two.

Subject: DBMS Scheduler runs jobs an hour late

Oracle 10g on Redhat Linux

Although our time zone is Europe/London and the Database seems to know we are in GMT+1
our manually run jobs run an hour late - any ideas?
