I have been asked to do the sizing for an RMAN catalog server. Space-wise it's a rather simple equation... since catalog usually consumes very little space (about 15MB for a year's worth of backups for a reasonably large DB) this is not an issue. However, I would like to know how to size CPU and Memory requirements, as this catalog will have about 3000 DBs registered and the server will act a stand by for another catalog of the same characteristics...

I know there are experienced people arround here, so I thought this would be a great place to ask this question.
Thanks in advance ^_^
