I reviewed ML docs on altering TOPNSQL which indicated this setting to affect how many sql is captured per criteria. A DBA on this thred also pointed to a ML doc, but it was mostly for SP. I have not yet found any references as to where the actual thresholds are specified and it they can be altered for the awr. I guess the best answer is that the default sets up the max to be displayed. At a default value of 30, I saw a range of 140-160 in dba-hist-sqlstats per snap-id.

If for whatever reason, you want to capture all sql, specify 'all' when you take a snapshot.
Thanks

I believe that means 'up to 30 that violate the thresholds'.

listed in any of my awr reports.
