Using EM 10.2.0.3 and from within Job Activity I cannot 'create like' or 'copy to library' from a backup creating using the 'Schedule Backup' wizard.
However I can create a new library job using the 'create library job, RMAN script' drop down menu. I save that as a library job and from there I can use that as a template to create other library jobs.
Whilst this is quicker than having to use the schedule backup wizard I thought that there might be a better and more efficient way to create backups for existing databases. Moving forward it is easy to add backups for each new database.
I think we will end up using Grid to manage our backups as it does seem a central point of reference and whilst crontab is very reliable it is a matter of logging onto each server individually to check/change settings whereas all the relevant information can be gathered form the OMS repository once the backups are created.

Hey Ian,
I think we may be talking two different types of backup jobs.
Manually created jobs from the Job Library screen are fully manageable. Ones created from the "Schedule Backup" wizard on a database target's Maintenance tab are not.
