Re: sqlplus "/as sysdba" giving error

Just try to replace it on the fly ? Some platforms (can't remember off the top of my head if sunos is one of them) even allow relinking the binary while the instance is running. Your next connection will then start a dedicated server with the "new" binary, and you should be able to connect.
