Hey all,
I've configured RMAN in 10.1.0.5.0 on AIX to exclude a few tablespaces that we really don't want backed up in a test DB. However, I'm thinking that the retention policy is now ignored because the datafiles for the excluded tablespaces are not backed up -- which I thought was the idea behind excluding them.
Until I can move these excluded tablespaces to their own database (not in the forseeable future), any thoughts on how to manage this? My flash recovery area now fills up because the older backups are not expiring according to the retention policy (which is currently only 1 day).
TIA,
Rich
