Totally agreed.
Upgrading to 10g from 9i can be sometimes a total mess-up, because both are
2 different monsters.
Quick but dirty solution would be a total recall to previous version by setting
- optimizer_features_enable = [your previous version] - unset new-feature optimizer parameter - recollect statistics just as previous manner - misc.
Google it for upgrade issue of 10g.
