Obviously you can use any file-based version control system (RCS, SCCS, ClearCase, Synergy, PVCS, SourceSafe, CVS, etc) to control text version of your database objects.

"Editions" (presumably an 11.2 feature seeing as they're a hidden parameter in 11.1) will hopefully be a natural complement to any source code control that you choose to use
