RE: Oracle Sustaining Support for 8.1.7.x

I do not think sustaining support is available for 8.1.7. In note 161818.1 they say that sustaining support applies only to releases >= 9.2.

Oracle makes the following statement in a metalink note on 8.1.7 desupport:  

""Oracle offers Sustaining Support on Database Release 8.1.7.x for an indefinite period of time, in accordance with the new Lifetime Support Policy"".  

What does Sustaining Support mean? What is the new Lifetime Support Policy?
