If you need to scan large _read only_ table other and other again -- I would rather say that you have serious DWH design issues. In 2007 we have enough DWH technologies in Oracle (think materialized views for exnmple) not to scan that amounts of data every time instead or thinking how to throw more KIWI at the problem.
