Used it with RAC as well (it was especially popular for 9i and
actually required).
As already said, it's optional for 10g RAC and there are certain
advantages and disadvantages. the latter is mainly due to increased
complexity and the fact that you have to integrate two components from
different vendors.
If you don't have good experience with Veritas - I'd recommend using pure Oracle technology unless you have specific requirements that can only be fit by third-party clusterware.
You will need SFRAC (Storage Foundation for RAC) if you decide to use Veritas.
