Re: RMAN upgrade catalog

RMAN binary matters in such cases. Search on Metalink for RMAN compatibility matrix. Your catalog db/schema could be higher version but the binary (RMAN executable) would need to be compatible with the target database you are backing. Metalink Note: 73431.1 ;
