Me thinks that sometimes folks get the wrong impression from RTFM.
Mark didn't just blow the OP off with "RTFM".
Included was which manual to read, and which parameters for the command would be of most interest.
The responsibility of the person asking the question is to do a little
research
(read the fine manual) and experiment with the command until he learns
how to use it.
This is a common internet protocol of long standing, and just plain common
sense.

It's quite obvious that the OP didn't yet know how to use exp/imp, and has a pressing need to use it for a real database.
I don't know about everyone else, but when I face something new (or
forgotten)
it's time to break out the manual, and experiment a bit until I understand
how
to make use of whatever feature I am hoping to use.
The vague paragraph in the first post did not exhibit the qualities of a
well
thought out (and researched) plea for help.
Taking your ball and going home is probably not the best response for you, or for others on this list. Everyone has something to contribute.
