Oracle has a vested interest in providing help to people in situations like yours. My guess is that they have already dug up more information than you could on your own. I'm not saying to blindly take everything they say, just to leverage their vested interest and put your own stamp on it. That is a disadvantage for "free" software such as MySql where there isn't a single enterprise devoted to its success. So I would start by contacting your Oracle sales rep or Oracle Sales itself through oracle.com. Sometimes people on this list are aware of such a comparison and will post a link here.

    Heck, you may conclude that for your organization the TCO of MySql is the lowest. Especially if DBA salaries are proportional to the selling price ;-)
