Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: Disable monitoring without disabling advisories
The application does not make any bulk DML's or nothing that should change
the execution plans. The weekly analyze job will analyze all the objects,
and not just stale or objects with no stats. Dont ask me why, but the
requirement is to simulate 9i behaviour, even after migration to 10g.
Need to investigate usage of _dml_monitoring_enabled as suggested by Allen.

It would be better to just freeze the statistics on the tables that you don't want to change. I wouldn't turn of monitoring altogether.

Oracle 10gR2. Is there a way to disable the table monitoring, without setting statistics_level to BASIC and losing the advisories? Looks like this cannot be done from what I have read so far.
