Did you run root.sh after the installation? Can you check if you have sticky bit set for the file oracle under $ORACLE_HOME/bin? Secondly, try "cd'ing" to the $ORACLE_HOME/bin directory and running Sqlplus right from there and see what you get. This either an environmental problem, or you do not have permission to read the Oracle directories. When I run sqlplus as oracle it runs OK. When I run it as another user I get the message below I thought the environment variables were not set, but .profiles are identical in terms of Oracle values Any ideas?
