This is generally a symptom of another problem. Is "TNS: lost contact" the only error message you see? If there is any other error output, please provide it.

Also, check the alert log around the time of the error.

I am installing 10.2 on AIX 5.2

Everything seems OK until database creation and then I get the error

TNS - lost contact.

The listener appears to be running..............

Any ideas?
