Yes. I use a different OH for each DB instance, especially for COTS
apps. And, you should never mix the agent home with a DB or client
home. As a personal note, I would not mix dev, test, qa, and prod on
the same servers either.

Hello,
We are going to separate the Oracle homes based on our promotion model
(Dev, TST, QA, Training, ...). In this way we can apply patches to each
environment and use the same promotion model. A few months ago, Oracle
support suggested to us to separate Database Oracle Home from agent
Oracle Home.
Anybody has any experience regarding different Oracle homes on the same
server? One Oracle home for all databases vs. one Oracle home for each
environment. Cons/pros...
