Once I migrated 300+gigs database from SUN (8i) to HP-UX (9i). These are the steps that I did:

Paula,
A quick Google search reveals that SPARC is big-endian while Intel is little-endian. I think you're going to have to pick a migration method that doesn't involve cloning the data files. Besides, even if it worked, would you be confident that some issue wouldn't come back to haunt you in the future?
