The matter of lazy/silly questions has been considered by this list in the past, and it has been resolved that they should be tolerated within reason.

To those asking questions:
Please remember to say what solutions you have already considered, and what sources of relevant information you have consulted.

To those answering questions:
Please give questioners the benefit of any doubt. If someone annoys you by repeatedly asking lazy/silly questions, then please ignore them, or refer the matter to me.
