Are you both running the query with the exact same bind variables
values? Any chance he ran the query for a more popular value? Perhaps
he's not running it that way now, but maybe he did earlier when the bind
variable peeking took place so now the query is already loaded in the
shared pool and stuck with the FTS plan for the popular value?
