Hello,

just found out about a problem (Bug 5648872 Dump (opidsa) from DESCRIBE of a cursor) that started in 10.2.0.3 and is still not fixed. It can lead to client sessions crashing with ORA-7445 errors. It is said to be fixed in 11g according to note *Note:5648872.8. *"Flushing the shared pool can clear the problem for a period of time" the note says..

The random nature of this issue doesn't make the latest and greatest 10gR2 version look like robust enough to entrust 24*7 applications to it.

Have more people run into this and how often?

Regards,
Andre
