Hello and hope that everyone is having a good day.

I am working on a project at a client that have many systems that contains different data on the same plant elements. Each database contains different detail for each plant, and equipment. The way the plant and equipment is stored differently in each database as with the statistics each collects. I have been asked to create a database to identify each piece of equipment and where each data element resides - which database/system and also create a cross reference so that someone who understand 1 system can collect data from another system.

I was wondering if there are any Metadata standards out there for utility based companies (Such as CIM) that could be used as a starting point?

Thanks for you assistance.

Thanks,

Bryan Lenihan
