no additional set-up is required.



    
  
  1.   statspack is an instance monitoring tool.
  
  2.   due to (1). you must run the job to take snapshots on each instance with
instance affinity. so if inst1 is down, you don't want to run that job on
inst2.
  
  3.   One you have sufficient data, it is generally beneficial to run spreport
on the instance that you want to analyze.
