Someone posted on my blog that it is a simple linking issue with libodm
and I wouldn't be surprised. But still, the adage goes, "you only get
one chance to make a first impression." I'm trying to figure out if this
is just a simple ODM issue...

Veritas FS
just wehn we were all set to put this patches in test.
this came up.
nice timing though.
but that screws up alot for us since we cannot even patch other platforms(our rman catalog in on solaris) not that the other platforms are out yet.
Thanks for the heads up. I was all set to go next week. I've heard
people
complaining about Oracle not properly testing their patch releases but I
had
never run into any of the patch bugs. This is ridiculous. Veritas was
huge
with Oracle and Sun (VOS). I'm guessing it wasn't even tested on VxFS.
This
goes right along with what Kevin Clossom writes about on his blog.
I thought not being able to startup with an spfile was a bad bug but
this is
horrible.
