This is disturbing and clearly indicates that Oracle did not test this
patch on VxFS, which is the most widely used filesystem. Another thing
that I find amazing that this patch is still available for download. It
should be immediately taken off from Metalink.

We are one of the lucky shops to use a lot of Solaris & Veritas. Kinda makes me wonder what caused such a big problem.... Is this an example of "a butterfly flaps its wings in Asia, causing a hurricane in the West"?
And, wow, the Solaris patch is a whopping 1.2gb!
