Thanks Dick for responding.
A small Clarification please.
Dick Wrote "While a part of that specific application might benefit from the larger block size the rest of it and your database in general may suffer."
Are you trying to communicate that "the rest of Database may generally suffer" for want of enough SGA due to insufficient RAM space?
Would this be a NON-issue if the DB Server has a Huge RAM & thus Memory / SGA size are NOT a constraint?
Cheers

Vivek,
You also need to consider what the impact of multiple block sizes will do to your overall memory utilization. To use multiple block sizes you need to set DB_nK_CACHE_SIZE which reserves memory from your SGA and DB_CACHE specifically for that tablespace(s). While a part of that specific application might benefit from the larger block size the rest of it and your database in general may suffer.

Subject: Use of Multiple BLOCK Sizes ?
Folks
Does use of Multiple BLOCK sizes (for different Tablespaces) help in Performance of a Hybrid Application?
Any best practices, Links, Docs?
Thanks indeed
