Re: Dataguard - SRL unassigned on Standby

I apologize for starting a new thread on this as I just saw it in the archives. Sanjay Madan had asked about Data Guard with slow connectivity. We have a similar situation and the fix for us was to add the following parameter on the primary:  

_LOG_ARCHIVE_CALLOUT='LOCAL_FIRST=TRUE'   This is a parameter that is set as default in 10gR1 and up, but not in 9i. It was introduced as of 9.2.0.5. Not sure if this is exactly your issue, but may be worth a shot. Metalink note 260040.1 explains a bit futher.
