did you look to the clause 'skip tablespace' ? it will however requires to restore a system tablespace.

RMAN questions,

Hopefully it's not to dumb.

Can RMAN do a full backup of just certain datafiles and lay them out on another system?
If so, can you then do incrementals on those datafiles?
Lastly if one and two are possible - what if you modify the destination database say update a row that lives in the datafile you are doing increments on, will applying the RMAN incremental datafile file fail?
