Just trying to get a feel for settled "standards" on naming.

What is normally the format for redo.logs and archive logs for your databases.

I'm usually seeing "redo1.ora", "redo2.ora" for redo, and usually "filename.arc" for archive logs.

So many involved creating the dbs and converted from ages ago that we want to set all new and possibly change the old ones to some sort of naming standard.

I've worked on some 200+ production databases in my 22 years, and those are the normal names I see.
