Well, whatever you did, don't ever admit to OTS that you updated prop$.
You might get an unexpected and unpleasant response, depending on how
the tech feels. Did that once, even following an OTS supported note to
change the character set from us7ascii to we8iso8859p1. The tech was
not interested in helping till I rebuilt the database. He claimed that
altering prop$ was the real problem. Oh Joy!!
BTW: Now that I'm back on the list, if there are any DBA's out there looking for something new please send me your resume OFF LIST. We've at least one opening, more to come I'm told.
