under Scope, last point.

It details how on 10gR1 how to migrate a database from platform to platform using transportable tablespaces.

basically taking all your data and unplugging it as a whole from source and converting it and then plugging into new DB created on target system.

from then getting onto ASM is jsut a normal migration to ASM as detailed in RMAN manuals.
