RE: Just the Grid, only the Grid

For those that have this installed, what kinds of loads are you seeing? Oracle "sales" was talking like it had pretty much "no load". Of course, I had my box. But I'm thinking I should be able to throw a "small" database down on one of our "hot" production servers and not have a lot of impact.  

These are HP SuperDomes. If we enable it to look at a lot of servers, I'd estimate maybe 10-20, but the bulk of them are still 9.2... for now.  

True or False?  

What kind of "size" are we needing for the repository "in the real world"? I think I was told 1-3GB.

Well Grid control does impose a reasonable additional load on the server, if that counts as messing things up. I couldn't successfully install EM 10gR2 Grid Control in an existing db on windows. The installer claims to be able to do this.
