It looks like kind of linear search. It may be just algorithmic SQL Apply issue.

I will analyze the trace file tomorrow but here are the numbers from the AWR snapshots:

First 10 minutes AWR Snapshot:

consistent gets 	                 651,393
consistent gets - examination 	638,274

Next 10 minutes AWR Snapshot:

consistent gets 	                 372,475
consistent gets - examination 	363,918

Next 155 minutes AWR Snapshot (the remaining time that Log Miner was working):

consistent gets                          2,447,400
consistent gets - examination 	2,197,323

Remaining 141 minutes AWR Snapshot (the remaining time that SQL Apply was working):

consistent gets 	              1,068,804
consistent gets - examination 	976,315
