Yes, this does make sense. There was a program where you attended somethink like 4 or 5 classes and you received a Master's Certificate (an honest to goodness certificate). There was not a test and it was not a certification. At the time, there was an issue with companies awarding 'Certified' <something> to an individual. The story I recall was that Novell was being sued by a company whose network was trashed by a couple of Certified Novell Engineers.
I don't have my OCP, so I make sure that I include my Oracle Masters Certificate on my resume so it gets past the HR flunkies who only want 'Certified' people.
